Spilt Milk is a collective production showcasing the work of USW's Documentary Photography BA (Hons) graduating class of 2021.

The exhibition title Spilt Milk, derives from the saying “there’s no use crying over spilt milk”, suggesting that there is no reason to be upset over situations that have happened and cannot be changed.

This analogy is in many ways perfect for our approach as documentary photography students throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. In an attempt to mop up the spillage rather than cry over its loss, our group has worked to overcome many challenges to make our projects this year. This community-driven showcase displays our determination to share the stories that we are passionate about, whilst celebrating the range of our photographic interests and styles.
